Many Hindus believe that Lord Brahma decides the future of a human being at the time of birth itself. Brahma would write the future of a person on the forehead and decide one’s destiny.
One would immediately have a question on what is the need for us to do Puja or go to Temples if Brahma already decided our future?
Lord Brahma himself answered this question. He says that although he himself cannot change what he wrote, individuals can change it by their deeds.
Vasishta Maharshi says that King Vidhumuka who was supposed to live only 50 years as per his Astrological chart extends his life by chanting Mrutyunjaya mantram.
Duryodhana who is supposed to live 128 years as per his birth chart gets killed at the age of 60 itself because of his bad deeds.
One may think to become rich or poor based on their Astrological chart/Jyotish prediction, but their fate can be reversed based on their deeds.
Even re-birth is based on current deeds/karma. Lord Shiva himself does not have any control on what would be the next Janma/rebirth of a living being. It solely depends on the person’s deeds in current birth.
